Dr. Vernon Darko oversees WAOGF’s financial structuring, capital markets relationships, and investor reporting.

He is the founder and CEO of EQUIPXP, a global leader in the sale, finance, and transport of capital equipment to frontier markets, and brings more than two decades of international trade finance experience to the fund.

Darko previously served three consecutive terms on the U.S. EXIM Bank’s Sub-Saharan Africa Advisory Committee, a body established by Congress to guide U.S. export support to the region, and is a published author on cross-border business growth.

His frontier-market financing experience directly informs WAOGF’s approach to structuring blended finance across the U.S.–Africa corridor.
